About Junkanew TV
Junkanew TV launched during the COVID-19 pandemic as a weekly livestream, creating an innovative space for the Carnival sector to collaborate, share knowledge and stay connected when live events were shut down.
What began as a response to crisis has grown into a permanent platform for Carnival culture — covering everything from Trinidad & Tobago Carnival and Notting Hill Carnival to sustainability in the arts, international Carnival traditions and cultural commentary.
The channel is led by Pax Nindi FRSA and reflects the breadth of Global Carnivalz's international network — featuring voices, stories and footage from Carnival communities across the UK, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond.
